WE BELIEVE…

 

 

THE BIBLE

At Eastwood, we believe that the Bible is God’s word!  It is real..it is living...it is active….and most of all it is the truth. 

 

GOD

We believe that God created the entire universe.  God is all knowing, all powerful, and all present.  

 

JESUS

We believe that Jesus Christ was the son of God and was sent to Earth for US!  He was born to his virgin mother and lived a perfect and sinless life while he walked the earth.  We believe that he was crucified on the cross for our sins and was gloriously resurrected three days later.  Then he ascended into heaven where he sits by God’s side today making intercession for us.  But…the greatest part is that he is coming again for his children and we will reign with him forever!

 

THE CHURCH

We believe in a church that is Christ-centered and where people of all backgrounds can come together and worship freely. 

 

PEOPLE

We are not concerned with where you have been in life and the decisions that you have made.  We are only concerned with where you are going now. 

 

AUTHENTICITY

We believe that we have to believe and live by the example that Jesus gave us.  In order to be a powerful witness for God’s kingdom, we must be sincere with our walk with God.  If we don’t demonstrate Jesus to a lost world…who else will?

 

PLAN

We believe that ALL people matter to God.  No matter what walk of life we …God cares for us ALL!  There is a plan and purpose waiting for anyone who is willing to follow him.

 

COMMUNITY

We believe that being involved in the community is vital to the success of our church.  We want to reach out to all those in our area to offer hope, help, and healing to everyone. 

 

SALVATION

We believe that sin causes us to be separated from God, but there is hope!  All of us have sinned and came short of his glory, so we must ask Jesus to be our savior. Salvation is God’s free gift that he gives to everyone. All we must do is ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins, believe that he is the son of God, and that he was crucified on the cross for those sins, and that he rose again!  If we will do this, then God will give us this free gift of salvation and we will reign with him forever!
